First off, I currently own one of Bissells Healthy Home vacuums and have for a little over 2 years. I have had no complaints so far and have recommended this vacuum to many family and friends. So while doing one of my 3 x a day vacuums the other day, I went to pull the hose out from it's housing to have it only unravel in my hands. The full bottom part of the hose became a slinky in my hands. I was a little disappointed as I wouldn't expect a good quality vacuum to do this type of thing so soon in it's short life so I decided to hop online and attempt to contact Bissell to ask if this is a common problem with this type of vacuum. After the email was sent, I received a generic email stating that someone would be in contact with me within 1-2 business days. I expected to receive the general response "Sorry for the problems you are having, blah, blah, blah!" but no, I received an email back from one of their kind customer service reps stating that this was not a normal thing and that they would be sending me out a replacement hose, free of charge..... YAY! I had actually already purchased one and had it shipped Expedited so they refunded my money instead.
I just have to say that this is awesome of Bissell as my vacuum is no longer under warranty and I was not demanding any kind of compensation. I am a proud owner of the Bissell Healthy Home and if I had to do it all over again, I would purchase another one.
